Safe guarding yoga students and ensuring teaching excellence

The Yoga New Zealand Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Policy requires Register Yoga Teacher to undertake CPD activities, which earn at least 10 CPD points in each year of membership.

Why do our members undertake annual CPD?

  1. CPD ensures that you and your knowledge stay relevant and up to date. You are more aware of the changing trends and directions in yoga and related industries.
  2. CPD ensures that you maintain and enhance the knowledge and skills you need to deliver a safe and best-practice to your students and community.
  3. CPD opens you up to new possibilities, new knowledge and new skill areas in yoga teaching.

Annual reporting of this activity should be provided online through the CPD reporting page within your personal page on the YA website. If online reporting is not possible, you may manually complete the CPD Reporting form available on the website and mail it to the National Office at the time of membership renewal.
