Continuing Professional Development

To develop and maintain robust industry standards and ensure teaching excellence, YogaNZ requires its members to complete at least 10  Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points per membership year (October 1st – September 30th).

Continuing your professional development as a yoga teacher is a way to ensure your teaching meets international standards, and remains relevant to yourself and your students.

CPD can be undertaken in a number of ways, across a broad range of fields.

To facilitate the ease, depth, and breadth of our members’ professional development, YogaNZ offers support in the following ways:

  1. Hosting regular YogaNZ events, including Sangas and an annual forum, opening you to new possibilities, new knowledge and new skill areas in yoga teaching, as well as building participation with your yoga community across Aotearoa.
  2. Partnering with Registered Exercise Professionals NZ  (REPS NZ), giving YogaNZ members access to their collation of CPD workshops and courses
  3. Giving all YogaNZ members a platform on our website to list workshops and courses they’re teaching – courses taken with level 3 and 4 YogaNZ teachers will gain you 1CPD point per hour.
